The fall is here and so are the leaves!

Do you have some time to spare to assist us with raking leaves this fall? You do not have to be a member of St. Andrew's or a member of our garden group. We will supply the yard waste bags. Please bring your own rake, face mask and gloves.  For more information, or to volunteer, please use the form below.   Students seeking community service hours are also welcome and supervision will be provided.  We thank you in advance.

Join the St. Andrew's Garden Committee!

Are you looking for a fun and rewarding outdoor activity this year? While the 2021 Garden Season will soon be coming to a close, volunteers are still needed to help with weeding. We are also looking for volunteers that we may call upon to help with raking leaves once they begin to fall.  If you can spare a few hours, please get in touch with a member of our Board, or you can use the form at the bottom of this page to let us know.

Help us keep our gardens and grounds looking beautiful.

The purpose of this ministry is to invite gardeners to come together and use their gifts in a way that will create a garden of beauty and serenity. Through the years as we grow our faith and our faith community so too will our gardens flourish.

Garden committee members plant and maintain the church gardens and grounds (other than the lawn). This is a great time for families to work together, teens to earn service hours, or individuals to enjoy personal time.

There are many different ways you might choose to participate --

  • Adopt a garden bed - care for it exclusively from its spring opening to its fall closing: weed - plant - water - maintain.

  • Share a garden bed with others - participate whenever the urge arises and you have time on your hands.

  • Trim hedges.

  • Edge gardens and shrubbery lines.

  • Water flower baskets and pots.

  • Assist with the Spring cleanup and opening of our gardens.

  • Rake fall leaves.

Love gardens but no time to participate?  We always welcome donations to be used for the purchase of plants and maintenance of our gardens.

We are always looking for volunteers to help in the weekly upkeep of our perennial beds, containers and shrubs. A ministry tending God's creation...what could be better?   Remember the 3 T’s of Stewardship: Time, Talent and Treasure.

Participation is open to all interested individuals. You do not have to be a member of St. Andrew's. Some gardening knowledge and skills are appreciated but not necessary.

Join the garden team and help create and maintain the many beautiful areas of our church grounds.

For more information, please contact the Board of Managers.  We will get in touch with you.
