APRIL 25, 2021 - MISSION AWARENESS SUNDAY

Presbyterian World Service & Development is responding in many ways to needs around the world. Responding to COVID-19 in vulnerable communities is just one way. Your donations to PWS&D are making this possible.
PWS&D COVID-19 Response
As we continue to witness the impacts of COVID-19, PWS&D, with partners at the ACT Alliance, is responding to bring relief to vulnerable communities in Bangladesh, Somalia, South Sudan and Palestine. Your faithful support is ensuring that families are accessing resources and the help they need during these uncertain times—thank you!

Presbyterians Sharing
Together We Serve
We are a vibrant denomination, working together to put our faith into action. Presbyterian Sharing is the national church fund that supports the mission and ministries we do together in Canada and around the world.
When we give to Presbyterian Sharing we participate in God’s mission. We help to build strong congregations by equipping ministers, theological students, youth, lay leaders and more. We serve vulnerable individuals and communities. We speak out against racism and seek healing and reconciliation. We share Christ’s love around the world by working with our mission partners. Through General Assembly, Presbyterians across Canada set the strategic direction of our ministry. All of this is possible through our gifts to Presbyterian Sharing.
St. Andrew’s supports Presbyterian World Service & Development and Presbyterian Sharing by contributing
a portion of donations received. You can allocate a portion of your donation to go to Missions by indicating your request
in the “message” field of the online donation form below.
We thank you for your generosity.

A Message from Evangel Hall
Dear Friends,
The past year has been an inspiring reminder of the incredible depth of compassion, grace, and resilience of the Presbyterian community. Every time ehm has reached out for assistance, you have responded by providing food, clothes, supplies, or financial support. You have stood with us throughout this crisis, just as generations of Presbyterians have since the ministry began in 1913. I can’t thank you enough.
Your compassion provides meals to keep people fed, outreach to keep isolated seniors and high-risk individuals connected to supports, and a safe place to find respite from the elements. By keeping ehm’s doors open to provide essential services, you deliver hope and critical community resources that are deeply needed especially as this pandemic continues.
You help individuals such as Sally. Sally, a long-time Financial Trustee client, lost contact with a number of her supports and resources when many services switched from in-person to remote delivery modes. She started experiencing a mental health crisis and didn’t know how to access her healthcare provider.
Thankfully, she was still seeing her ehm Trustee worker regularly because ehm maintained in-person programming. With help, she reconnected with her mental healthcare worker, was admitted for care, and has since been released and continues to be seen at ehm regularly.
Keeping the doors open and seeing clients in-person means individuals like Sally can still access essential resources and creates opportunities for interventions that otherwise wouldn’t occur.
As we approach Mission Awareness Sunday, the second since the pandemic began, I’d like to extend sincerest thanks for the many lives you touch by supporting Evangel Hall Mission. It is our privilege to be your hands in the community.
Sincerely,
Ainsley Chapman
Executive Director, Evangel Hall Mission
